last but not least,last class for this semester with miss zuraidah.Today we learn about future tense...this task has been given to amira and nabila.



Future tense

There are 4 types of future tense.
1.      Simple future tense
2.      Future continuous tense
3.      Future perfect tense
4.      Future perfect continuous tense

When expressing future tense, we use :
ü  soon
ü  in the future
ü  tomorrow
ü  next week
ü  next month 
ü  next year

Simple future tense

   The simple future tense is often called will, because we make the simple future tense with the modal auxiliary will.
   Rules :

Examples
Used to refer actions or events that willhappen in the future.
I’m sure it will rain this afternoon
Used with will to make predictions or refer to events which we think are highly possible in the future.
Manchester United will beat all the other teams to win the FA Cup this year. (Predictions)
Used with “will” to refer to something which we decide to do at the time of speaking.
Don’t worry, I’ll be careful
Used with “be going to” for actions which we have already planned to do in the future  and  event which we think possible in the future.
Asian share markets are going to perform better at the end of the year because of brighter prospects in the US economy.

Future Continuous Tense

   A continuous action that will take place at a certain time in future.
   How to form ?
§  Will/shall + be + infinitive + ing
   Example :
§  The girl will be doing her homework at 8.00 pm tonight.

Interrupted action in the future.
To indicate that a longer action in the future will be interrupted by a shorter action in the future.
 §  will be watching television when she arrives tonight.
 §  am going to be staying at the Madison Hotel, if anything happens and you need to contact me.
Specific time as an interruption in the future.
To show the time an action will begin or end.
 §  Tonight at 6pm, I am going to be eating dinner.
 §  At midnight tonight, we will still be driving through the desert
Parallel actions in the future.
Two actions in the same sentences.
 §  am going to be studying and he is going to be makingdinner.
 §  Tonight, they will be eatingdinner, discussing their plans, and having a good time.

Future Perfect Tense

Use to refer action or situation which will be completed by a definite time in the future.
  ˟   Our train reached Bangkok by midday tomorrow.
 ü  Our train will have reached Bangkok by midday tomorrow.

Use already and just to refer to actions or situations which will be finished by an approximate time in   future.

  ˟   By March next year, we already receive the loan for our new house.
 ü  By March next year, we will have already received the loan for our new house.
